If for some reason your cartridge can’t be refilled, we have compatible and remanufactured cartridges that will give you great results and still save your money.
Will I really save money by refilling ?
Absolutely. In fact some cartridges cost more to replace than the printer that uses them. The savings depend on the type of cartridge, but are generally about half the price of buying a replacement.
How long will it take to refill my cartridge ?
If you don’t have time to wait for a refill we can find a solution that gets you on your way immediately. If you have the time to wait, most refills are done in 20-25 minutes or so.
Are the printing results of a refilled cartridge different from a new cartridge ?
Most people can’t tell the difference between the printing from a refilled cartridge and a new cartridge because the attributes of the inks we use are carefully matched to those of the original manufacturer. We use world class inks & toners to reduce fading and give you the results you expect. In fact, your satisfaction is guaranteed.
How long will a refilled cartridge last ?
A refilled cartridge should last just as long or longer than your original cartridge. New cartridges are often sold as either standard or high yield capacity. Other than the higher price of a high yield cartridge, the only difference between the two is the amount of ink the cartridge originally contains. Re-feel Cartridge Engineering refills all cartridges to their full capacity, transforming standard capacity cartridges to high yield cartridges at a fraction of the cost and giving you twice as much printing.
How many times can a cartridge be refilled ?
With proper care, a cartridge can be successfully refilled several times, however, eventually all cartridges do fail for reasons other than being out of ink. See our tips below.
What is the best way to care for my inkjet cartridges ?
We recommend the following tips for optimizing the life of your inkjet cartridge:
- Print at least once a week.
- When your printer gives a low ink warning, stop printing and prepare the cartridge for refilling as soon as possible.
- Remove the cartridge from the printer, avoiding contact with the print head.
- Dampen a small piece of folded paper towel and attach it to the side of the cartridge with an elastic band.
- Place the cartridge into a zip top bag, avoiding contact with print head at all times, and bring it to your local Re-feel Store.
Call the Re-feel location that refilled your cartridge or send them an email. The contact information for all Re-feel Store locations is available online.
Does Re-feel guarantee their work ?
Yes, we provide a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our products and services with your valid receipt.
How does refilling help the environment ?
Inkjet cartridges are made of plastics which use approximately 2.5 ounces of oil for each new cartridge manufactured. We can refill the cartridges reducing landfill waste and the amount of new resources required to manufacture new cartridges.
Aren’t cartridge recycling programs better for the environment ?
Having your cartridge refilled means that the life of each cartridge can be extended by using it multiple times. We also refill non-print head cartridges which would normally not qualify for recycle programs.
Will refilling my cartridge void my printer warranty ?
No. Using refilled cartridges does not affect your warranty. We simply refill the cartridge designed by the manufacturer. Federal law prohibits any company or person from requiring you to exclusively purchase their product. Your rights as a consumer are protected under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act, Section 101 (USA) and by the Combines Act (CDN). The printer manufacturers would like you to believe that refilling will affect your warranty but the law states that it does not. In the unlikely event that leakage from the cartridge occurs, we will arrange to have your printer professionally cleaned and repaired, and even replaced if necessary.
